During the 2006 / 2007 season, Chasetown were represented in the Lichfield & District Recreational League by two teams - the Scholars and the Colts.
In readiness for 11 a side football at the U11 age group, it was decided that a third team would be added for the 2007 / 2008 season. The intention was to create a total pool of players in the region of thirty, enough to form two 11 a side squads.
Edwin Derry, who had been actively involved with the Colts, agreed to take on the role of manager for the new team, now christened the Juniors.
Two players, James Powell and Alex Derry, came across from the Colts and a further 8 players were recruited after long term trials during the summer of 2007.
Although many of the new players had never played organised football before, the squad bonded quickly into a very competitive unit.
