ABOUT THE TEAM

Welcome to the website of Chasetown Juniors FC Under 12's.

Follow our progress and share our highs and lows via the pages of this website, as we taste the challenges of life in the Lichfield League for the first time.

The Juniors under 12's were originally born out of the Hammerwich Tigers under 9's squad. At the end of the 2005/6 season it was decided that the club had enough registered players to form two sides. Both teams playing under the name of Chasetown Colts under 10's during the 06/07 season, there was a Saturday squad, playing in Burton on Trent and a Sunday squad in the Lichfield League.

At the start of the 2007/08 season, we achieved our own identity. Playing under the name Chasetown FC Juniors, the Saturday squad continued to fly the flag for Chasetown FC, playing 9-a-side in the Burton Junior Football League at the under 11 age group.
Following a season of mixed results, the Juniors finished in seventh place in Division 4. This was no mean achievement, as it should be remembered that this 9-a-side squad signed 5 new players at the start of the campaign.

The 08/09 season will see us progress to 11-a-side , when we transfer nearer to home in Division 3 of the Lichfield League. Our squad is made up of 12 lads and brief details can be found on the 'Player Profiles' page of this website.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank our shirt sponsor Ashiq's for their ongoing financial support. Located at the Swan Island, Burntwood, Ashiq's fine Indian cuisine is available in the comfort of their friendly restaurant facilities or, alternatively, via their excellent take away service.

A special thanks also, to our new sponsors, Mike Davies (Bearings) Ltd, who have recently demonstrated their support for 'the Juniors' under 12's side. This is in addition to the strong connections that they already have with Chasetown Football Club through their association with Charlie Blakemore and the senior squad. Mark Davies, head of Mike Davies (Bearings) Ltd, has stated that the Business is only too pleased to be strengthening its ties with the Chasetown FC family.

Once again, we would like to show our appreciation to everyone for their continuing support.

And thanks to all the parents. Without your dedication...........etc etc

Well, we hope you've enjoyed your visit to our web pages. To get more information about the Chasetown FC Youth Section, please contact club secretary Martin Lawley on 01543 686996, or Mark Hands, our Commercial Manager, on 07789 923868.

In junior football, should all players be given the same amount of time on the pitch during a game, regardless of ability?
Yes, always. Getting kids involved is the most important thing.
Yes, unless it is an important game.
No. Winning is important at all ages, so the best players should play more often.
