Assistant Managers Report
Sunday 6 November 2011
Chasetown Scholars U8s 7 Sutton Town 0
After a 2 week break the Scholars continued where they'd left off
with an emphatic 7-0 victory over a good Sutton Town team.
After an even start to the game a sweetly struck shot from Sam Cattell
hit the back of the net to put the Scholars 1-0 up. All fears of the
boys sitting back on that lead were extinguished when Josh Rogers
scored the 1st of his Hat-Trick and Cameron Maxwell added a third with
an audacious bit of skill that wouldn't have looked out of place on the
Premiership stage. Any threatening attacks from Sutton were dealt with
easily by Alec Hawkes, Liam Dean & goalkeeper Josh Wall.
After leading at Half-Time the Scholars continued where they left of
with an own goal & 2 more from Josh Rogers including his 3rd which was
set up following some great determination & un-selfish work from Ryan
Pennington to put them 6-0 ahead. As the Scholars continued to drive
forward James Cheshire put in a good performance to keep the clean
sheet. The scoring was completed when Ollie Bancroft scored a well
deserved goal when the referee played some excellent advantage
following a foul by a Sutton Town defender to make it 7-0.
Special mention for Sam Cattell today for a controlled defensive play &
the managers man of the match went to Cameron Maxwell.
All 9 of the lads should be proud of a job well done!
