ABOUT THE CLUB

Welcome to the website of Chasetown FC Youth Section.

Whilst the Chasetown Football Club first team is currently enjoying the most successful period of its history the club can proudly boast the largest junior football section in the local area with more than 250 registered players, boys and girls, from the ages of under 7 through to under 17.

The youth section was established more than 30 years ago, as Hammerwich Football Club. The start of the 2006/07 season saw Hammerwich FC formally adopt the Chasetown name and the two club infrastructures joined together.

Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
